The 2021 edition originally scheduled for Santa Tecla (ESA) from 27 November to 12 December 2021 was first moved to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After the city had organising problems the Games have been withdrawn and rescheduled to Guatemala and Costa Rica from 27 October to 13 November 2022, but due to the threat of co-host Guatemala being suspended by the International Olympic Committee the Games have finally be cancelled a few days before the start.
